Company Promoter Task List



Welcome to your Task List! The Sudbury Savoyards Task Lists are designed to be used as a guideline for how you can successfully complete your job in the current production. The task list is divided into five sections: In order to keep this task list current and helpful, please edit it as you see fit. You will be asked to turn in your marked-up copy at the Debriefing Meeting. You can also send any changes electronically by clicking here or the link at the top of this page.

General Information

The Company Promoter's job is to increase awareness of the Sudbury Savoyards throughout the year, as distinct from show-specific publicity, which is the responsibility of the Publicity Chief. The Company Promoter and the Publicity Chief must work together closely for best results.

Fall Newsletter

The Newsletter Editor is responsible for creating the newsletter itself. Send the fall edition of the Sandwich Board, explaining the upcoming events and auditions. This is a big mailing.
The Company Promoter will need to recruit a crew to fold, collate, etc. A total of eight people would be ideal. The Chairman and/or Producer might help the Company Promoter recruit volunteers.
We send audition flyers to everyone. We include the membership letter (announcing auditions and December rehearsal schedule) with the audition flyers going to members. We send an information sheet about the Sudbury Savoyards to non-members.
We do this in plenty of time to be able to use the bulk mailing permit, since bulk mail can take up to four weeks to be delivered, and people need time to prepare for auditions.

Create Audience Comment Forms

In the past, we have included audience comment forms on the program insert. We've encouraged people to fill them out by running a contest for T-shirts and free tickets in conjunction with a mailing list update form. Discuss with the Chairman and the House Manager to see if this should be done for the current show. Please note: As of 2002, this has not been done for several years.

Review Audience Comment Forms

If comments cards are distributed for the current show, summarize the results to be reported at the Debriefing Meeting. Pass along any mailing list changes/additions to the Database Manager
